This is very good for knife blanks, small size turning blanks etc. All the pieces are rough cut and moisture at 12 percent moisture content. All the pieces will have sapwood as shown in picture. This is sample picture of what you may receive.

Size may always vary but thickness will be from 1" upto 2". Heartwood is dark reddish brown to nearly black, sometimes with a strong purple hue.

Sapwood is sharply demarcated and is pale yellowish white. Pieces with curly or wavy grain are not uncommon. Grain is usually straight, but can also be irregular or interlocked. With a fine even texture and good natural luster. Inlays, fine furniture and cabinetry, parquet flooring, guitars, turnings, and other small specialty items.
