These four are #1 of each season. These are from my private collection, as I commissioned them from the Hopfs' in 1985. Claudia created the papercutting and Carroll created the frames, each fancy grain painted to go with the images. All are signed and numbered 1/25. They are individually snipped from a single sheet of paper, in a technique called Scherenschnitte, an early Pennsylvania German craft.
